We are pleased to announce we are supporting the 2018 Master Cutler's Challenge - an annual initiative that’s raised more than £1.3 million for great causes over the last ten years.

The Cutler’s Company has played a huge and influential role in the South Yorkshire steel industry since 1624. Originally formed to ensure the standard of cutlery was high enough to put the Sheffield name on it, it continues to promote the values, quality and skills of manufacturing across the wider city region.

The new Master Cutler, Ken Cooke, has chosen South Yorkshire’s only children’s hospice, Bluebell Wood, as the charity for the 2017/2018 Master Cutler’s Challenge, and we at SEP are delighted to say we have made a generous donation towards such a worthy cause.

This charity offers care and support to children and young adults with life-shortening and life-threatening conditions, both in their own homes and at the hospice in North Anston. They support the whole family, and give them the chance to relax, take a break and have fun. At the launch of the challenge one of the father’s which has been supported by Bluebell told us how Bluebell had support him, his family and his little girl Elsa. We highly recommend reading their story which shows how donations go towards helping other families. http://www.bluebellwood.org/our-stories/elsas-story/
